So I want cool goth looking eyebrows... how do I tell my beautician that? They are not so much goth-friendly... So I can't say "Make me look like a vampire" really :)
Are there professional eyebrow terms?

Re: Eyebrows
Fri, March 4, 2005 - 8:52 AMYeah, I think most of the people I've seen who have uber goth eyebrows, either shave theirs off and draw them in or shape them normally then add in extra dabs here and there. I found some pictures a while back of this hot woman with incredible eyebrows....if I find them I'll post it...a picture speaks a thousand words!

Re: Eyebrows
Tue, March 8, 2005 - 6:57 PMI agree, remove them entirely. However, wax them off don't shave. Shaving will cause stuble and make them gow in thicker. Another thing is to have them tattooed in what ever style you like. Or you can do like alot of drag queens do and remove most of the brow except for the inner area up to the arch, then it leaves the rest open to do what you like. -

Re: Eyebrows
Wed, March 9, 2005 - 9:34 AMWhile I am all about the waxing I have to make sure people realize that the theory that hair will grow back thicker or darker when you shave is a myth.
When the hair grows in after shaving, the short hair shaft will be more noticeable, since it now has a blunt tip due to shaving....but will look just as it did before if you give it a chance to grow out.
This myth plagued me until I worked at a dermatologists office and they set me straight. Before then, I felt like I was paving my own road to sasquatch everytime I shaved my legs.
It's a shame it's not true though...we'd have an instant cure for hair loss! ; ) -

This is especially true with eyebrows. I learned from first hand experience that when you accidentally shave off 1/3 of your eyebrows, they don't grow in as thick and are noticeably lighter. To top it off, the difference in thickness shows in every picture you take. Damn those junior high years of experimentation! /shake fist!
On a plus side, I discovered that if you put mascara on in an upward flicking motion where your eyebrows should be, it looks just like hair and you *can* escape the life shattering ridicule only 12yr olds could dish out.
